Online Data Entry - Hype or Legitimate Opportunity

Most businesses do a good portion of their marketing and advertising on the web. It is the most cost effective and efficient way to promote because unlike radio, TV or newsprint they can target an interested audience. For example with pay-per-click advertisers only pay when an internet surfer clicks their ad. Obviously the user will only do this if they are interested in the company's products.
Many companies and small businesses don't hire internally for internet marketing but rather provide incentives for web entrepreneurs to help them advertise over the internet. In this article this is referred to as online data entry work and is a great opportunity for anyone that has access to the web.
What's interesting is that because so many people assume that data entry is a scam it actually improves the business model. This is because it helps to moderate the number of people that take the data entry business seriously and therefore lessens the competition for those involved. Mind you there is virtually unlimited business available as companies always appreciate more promotion and publicity.
I do want to clarify that although 'online data entry' as an industry isn't a scam, as with any business, there will be crooks that will exploit the opportunity to collect money without delivering any value. Saying data entry is a scam is like saying real estate is a scam. The key is to be able to determine the companies that are legitimate, with a history of providing the services and tools to make people successful.
There is a program that I am using that is called Data Entry Made Easy which has around 27,000 members. There is a one time fee to sign up for this program, but it is well worth it as it provides the guidance, tools and internet links required to lead it's member down the right road to success. The fee also allows Data Entry Made Easy to keep it's tutorial, database and links up to date.
Once you become a member you will have access to thousands of companies of which you can choose the ones you want to work with. As with any new business, the harder you work and the more forms you fill out and more you will make. To say you'll make a thousand in the first day, well I doubt it, but many have made money within a couple of hours and hundreds within weeks and thousands per week within a month. Again it depends on how hard you work and number of forms filled out.
