The far infrared portable sauna is often termed as the sauna to go. Sounds like a coffee I know - but in this case it basically refers to the ease of operation by the very fact that you could move it around easily if you desire to do so. This is what makes this type of sauna very attractive, especially if you move around a lot.
The health benefits of infrared sauna are many and I will quickly cover them here so that you have an idea of what to expect from this technology. Firstly before you use the sauna drink some water, I know this may sound obvious but never get in there after you have had lots to drink.
The infrared technology has the ability to penetrate deeply into the body which can help you to really sweat and release toxins. The purpose of any sauna is to sweat but with the infrared sauna you have less heat within the enclosure itself so it is far easier to stay in it for extended periods of time.
It can be hard to breathe in a traditional sauna; but not in an infrared sauna. In fact, I typically spend about forty minutes in mine, bringing something to read to pass the time.
The sweating fostered by an infrared sauna helps your body rid itself of toxins. A sauna also promotes circulation and eases muscular aches and pains. Along with all of this, it's a great way to unwind.
Being that it makes you sweat it helps to cleanse your skin, it also helps with blood circulation and to ease aches and pains. Bottom line it is a healthy way to relax.
There are varieties of portable saunas, some are almost like a fold up box and you can take them anywhere. Other's look like a traditional sauna but are easy to install and take apart if you're on the move.
There is also the type which is like a box from which your head and arms protrude from - a little strange looking, but very effective. You could read or watch TV while having a sauna with one of these units. The rest of you is in the sauna, with only your head and hands outside.
Personally, I like the more traditional style enclosure. It makes you feel like you're in a sauna, but for many people space is at a premium, making the box style a good choice.
An infrared sauna offers a great way to relax and unwind after a long day while providing all of the health benefits of a traditional sauna (and then some). While it takes longer to start sweating in an infrared sauna - in fact, you may wonder if it's broken for the first ten minutes or so until the sweating suddenly begins about 15 minutes in. After a good sweat and a shower, you'll feel relaxed and wonderful inside and out.
